Quarter Three: #8

When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.

  1. This quote is more true than any one person could ever know. It's normal for a person to get stuck on the past, looking at what has or has not happened to not notice that another opportunity has opened up.

  2. i agree with this quote...people do get stuck more on the past... and when a new door opens they are still blind with the past that they do not realize that a new door has opened.... this quote is o so true!

  3. This quote is so true. We spend so much time mourning the closed door that we ignore the open one. I think we would be happier overall if we spent less time complaining about things not working out as planned (closed doors), and more time exploring the new doors that have opened and being thankful for new opportunities.

  4. This quote is very true; i do believe that when one door closes we do ignore the next one that opens. people tend to dwell on the past and are to afraid to move on. As soon as a new door opens look at it and walk towards and make the future better than what you thought your past was

  5. I totally think that this quote is true. Alot of times when something bad happens we tend to dwell on it, and think about what things we could have changed and different situations, that we tend to overlook anything good that could come after. Somone could walk into our lives after someone leaves, but we are to worried about the person that left to let anyone else in.

  6. True! This quotes explains a lot of people. I think that people spend to much of their time in the past they need to keep their head up and move on and do what makes them happy!

  7. this means people dwell too much on the bad things that they dont realize something good is happening.

  9. Some people spend days, weeks, months, and even years depressed and grieving over a closed door, but the open door is right in front of them as well.

  10. This is so true. People dwell on the fact that something good has ended instead of noticing and holding onto the one that has just began. We need to cherish what is in front of us instead of behind us, the future instead of the past.

  11. People dwell on the bad things and mistakes that happen in life! Instead of looking for the better things to make you happy, no one can get over the bad stuff thats happened! Stuff happens, you cant change it so live life to the fullest(:

  12. This quote is the truth! It means that when some things in life dont go right, its okay. So dont worry about it because your life will get better. You just need to give it time.

  13. This is so very true! At one point in life everyone does this. You spend so much time thinking about what should have been or could have been instead of looking into the future with a positive attitude. Things happen but instead of living in the past and trying to change things live life to its fullest =]

  14. this is true because when something bad happens we see it as man,why did this happen to me?We sit around and worry about it but we never stop to think maybe this happened and it was bad but at least something else happened and it isn't so bad or it could become something good.

  15. To me this is saying that after somthing doesn't go our way we sit and pout so much that we don't knowtice the door that was opened with another opportunity

  16. I think this means that all anyone ever wants is to be happy. We are too caught up on the happiness that is either there or gone that we refuse to open up to any other feeling. Instead of looking for new opportunities, we dwell on those that have failed.

  17. Instead of looking at the past, people should worry about the present, and how to move forward. In doing this, there will be a greater happiness.

  18. I think people are stuck on what they want and not what they have been given. They may lose something but they don't take the time see what they have right in front of them.

  22. When someone helps you achieve something in your life, we tend to look passed them and move on instead of thanking them!
